I was invited to share my 38 - year old life in 5 minutes only to the participants of the Christian Life Program (CLP) our household group had initiated at the Rangsit church in Thailand.

Below is my sharing script I had prepared and shared:

Brothers and sisters in Christ, good afternoon!I am happy to share with you my 38 - year old life in this world. Please don’t worry about the time for I am going to do it in 5 minutes only. I divided it into three parts as follows: 
1. My life before knowing more about God
2. My life and our lives when we know more about God through
    this community and
3. Our lives within this community when we finally allowed God
    to administer it fully

First Part:

My life before knowing God more was very chaotic and or problematic. I was living in a very sinful life - committing the same kind of sins over and over again. I can still remember doing wicked things during this very same time (lent season) thinking that God won’t be able to know what I was doing, for out of ignorance, I thought he was really dead.
Anyway, in spite of all this, God’s unchanging love was always there for me. When I was in a very miserable situation in the Philippines within 7 years after my college graduation, (to make this part short) he finally answered my one very important prayer to remove me in that situation; and he brought me to this country in a very miraculous way. I said miraculous because when my application for AIT study was finally granted with full scholarship, but need to be responded immediately for the class will start in 5 days; and I don’t have my passport yet, no visa yet, I haven’t resigned yet, I was scheduled to teach during that summer time, and the biggest hurdle for me was money for my plane ticket. But, God removed all these obstacles; and in just three days time, I had everything.

Second Part:

Without hesitation when a friend invited me to attend the CLP, I joined. I had my first CLP graduation about 10 years ago. I graduated again with my wife 6 months after our first baby (Liednah) was born. After my first CLP graduation, God has blessed me in many ways: he gived me job even before my AIT graduation. I meet a beautiful lady, now my wife and I have a very loving community. More blessing after my second and my wife’s first CLP graduation. We have now three lovely children and our closeness to God through this community became more intense. Though we are experiencing God’s love, we’re still struggling some aspects of our lives, especially on the financial side, until…

Third Part:

When we decided to putting our lives completely in God hands, everything has changed significantly. There was peace in my mind, in my heart and in our home. It began in the early of last year 2007 when I started doing religiously my covenant I had signed with God (you will be doing it also soon): spending at least 20 minutes a day for more than a year now, reading the Bible early in the morning before doing any of my activities (work, tennis, exercise, playing with our children, of course wife as well, etc.), doing an honest to goodness repentance, entrusting to Him our present and future concerns, with Faith, finally God had opened the floodgates in Heaven pouring upon us His blessings upon blessings that we are now enjoying.Brothers and sisters God’s promises are happening in our lives and I believe it will also happen to you when you allow God to fully administer your life. And this community is committed to help you not only in your spiritual growth by having personal relationship with God, but also in many aspects in life that make God’s words a reality.

For your further inspirations:

From my daily Bible readings, I discovered a lot of Wisdom from God that guide me all the time in everything I do. I already had finished the whole part of the New Testament (80 to 90% of the Old Testament) reading and studying it word for word, page by page, day by day. What I have found are the following which for me, are the ones of the most important wisdoms that helped us a lot:

1. It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than a single letter of the
    scripture not to be fulfilled.” (Luke 16:17)

2. Jesus said “Do not set your heart on what you are to eat and drink. Stop
    worrying. Let all the nations of the world run after these things. Your
    Father knows that you need them. Seek rather the Kingdom and these
    things will be given to you as well.” (Luke 12: 29 - 31)

3. Jesus also said ” If you remain in me and my words in you, you may
    ask whatever you want and it will be given to you. My Father is
    glorified when you bear much fruit: it is then that you become my
    disciples. As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you;
    remain in my love. You will remain in my love if you keep
    my commandments, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
    and remain in His love. I have told you all this that my own joy
    may be in you, and your joy may be complete. This is my
    commandment: love one another as I have loved you.
    There is no greater love than this than to give one’s life for
    one’s friends and you are my friends if you do what I command you.” 
    (John 14: 7 - 14) It is by loving one another that people will know
    that you are my disciples.”
    (John 13: 34 - 35)

4. In other part of the Bible, Jesus also said “Whoever keeps
    my commandment is the one who loves me. If he loves me, 
    he will also be loved by my Father; I too shall love him and
    show myself clearly to him.” (John 13: 21)
 
5. Jesus repeated above by saying it in another way as “If anyone love me,
    he will keep my word and my Father will love him; and we will come to
    him and make a room in his home.” (John 14: 23)    

    Brothers and sisters in Christ, all of these have helped us a lot in
    our decision to let God fully administer our lives; and surely this
    will also help you if  you open your heart and allow Him.
