I have never expected how beautiful and wonderful Beijing, China is apart from its Great Wall. My idea about the country was limited only by what I have always read and heard from the news reports. From the old history, the only thing I can remember is the Great Emperor KANGXI - true believer of Christ - and the Great Wall.

Experiencing the 6-hour walk (back and forth of only some parts of it -12 stations- out of the 20 stations length) and recalling the past about the great Mongolian Emperor - Genghis Khan - I was able to understand why the great Emperor of Mongolia failed to conquer China. The strategic location of the Great Wall, how it was built – double wall defense structure - can tell everything about Genghis Khan’s failure.

In terms of security, I felt safer compared to other countries I had been to. I don’t know the other parts, but in Beijing, this is what I had felt.

China has the great potential to become the world leader sooner or later. We can see it from the trend. China had been a great nation and the world knows that this sleeping dragon is now again awakening. Napoleon once said that when China awakes, the world will shake.
