When joining with affiliate programs in the Internet, I just learnt today that it’s very important to have first a concrete knowledge about affiliate advertising and search marketing before making concrete steps toward making it all happen. In my experience, I did it the opposite way. So there’s no wonder why I am not making as much money as the others. Another reason is that, I was not really giving much time and effort at the beginning.

When those important and necessary steps were done, then the next step is to find and select the best affiliate networks from among the hundreds affiliate networks available. The author has introduced his four favorite networks such as Commission Junction, Affiliate Fuel, Advertising.com, and Amazon.com’s Associate Central which is run by its own.

When the process of selection is done, then finally the last step is to determine how to join affiliate networks. The author suggested that we need to set up at least a simple web site of our own to represent our business. He said further that, most affiliate applications request information about our web site, even when many of their affiliate programs will allow us to advertise their programs on search engine without having our own website.

After joining one or more of the above mentioned networks, some may take time to give you approval.
