At last, Roger Federer’s dream to win the French Open was realized few days ago. There are two points to consider here for discussion, though my friends who are pro Roger Federer are not interested in it. Anyway, just for the sake of discussion, just allow me to do it. You have the freedom to agree with it or not.
Federer was happy to have attained it, but it would have been relieving and boasting for him had he achieved it by beating Nadal. Unfortunately, he had made it with the man, Mr. Soldering whom he had beaten many times and who, he was not dreaming to have crossed with during the final. He already knew in his mind and heart that if this is the guy he would be meeting with in the final, he will surely beat him again. That is the kind of confidence he had during their match.
But anyway, the goal was reached, just never mind the impact. Federer had also even with Sampras record of 14 Grand Slam trophies. I know that he and his fans are happy, but Federer is not 100% happy, because he wanted to get it directly from Nadal. Now the result confirms his feeling that he is really just the number 2 in the world of tennis. Attaining his goal by beating Nadal during this recent French Open would not have only gave him the desired satisfaction he had dreamed about, but also gave him the moral boast and the huge impact that can ignite his old great feelings when he was the world number 1. So, the impact would have been so great if it was with Rafael Nadal, the current number 1 in the Tennis World.
