My New Great Challenges in Life

Changing lifestyle is really a great challenge for me, especially now that I am already XL not only in age, but also in size. I used to be 63 - 65 kilograms maintained for more than 15 years of my life, and with my normal height, this weight was very acceptable and very convenient for me. Since the middle of the last year, I had reached the 78.4 kilograms weight level after changing job in 2007 from lecturer/teacher to salesman.

With my former lecturing/teaching jobs, I used to stand-up for the whole three hours straight without any problem. I did regular gym exercises at least 5 times a week, 3 hours per session at that time since 1993 to 1998. While in Thailand, since the year 2000 – two years after my Master of Engineering study in the country, my gym exercises had reduced to at most 3 times a week, at most 1 ½ hours per session. However, I had other activities, like swimming, basketball, bowling, etc., and the most important of all is my tennis activities where I spent so much time on it which really helped me held my weight to around 69 – 71 kilograms.

However, when I changed my work 3 years before reaching XL, my weight changes almost exponentially. And I then noticed so many pains on my body: pains on my knees, pains on my back, pain on my feet, pains on my shoulders, pains on my hands - almost pains everywhere.

So, I decided to changing foods, changing exercise routines, changing work habits which are just part of all the programming that I now currently doing, hoping to at least lower my weight to 68 kilograms. Now, I saw significant improvements: pains are few and no longer everywhere, only some parts of my body and much more bearable than before, my tennis movements are coming back, and most importantly, my weight is now 71.1 kilograms.

It took me only 3 weeks to do this experimental program I personally designed for my self.

For the first few days, it’s really a great struggle for me, but slowly, my body was able to adapt it, and now I am missing it once I missed one session.

Hope I can attain my goal and then sustain it for at least 60 years or more, God allows.
