Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. This verse is taken from the book of Proverbs 22:6 in the Bible – King James Bible. It is used during our Bangkok Baptist Learning Center (BBLC) Parents and Teachers meeting last night. Pastor Badua, during the meeting, had emphasized the difference between the training and the teaching of children in the learning center. He also said that it’s God’s commandment to the parents to train up the child in the way he should go, that is, in God’s way, and when he is old he will not depart from it. He further indicated that the way parents live at home with their children is a great influence of a child’s behavior. Though a child has a tendency to be bad, because he was already corrupted since the beginning of his creation (original sin), but he can be guided and trained to become a good person.
