There are so many distortions of our Christian life and faith that were around sometimes and even long time ago which can still be felt even today. I read lots of them. There was this Da Vinci Code which was very popular for sometimes in our present time and then just died down naturally, and if you will evaluate its main motivation, then you will find that it’s all about making money.

There is this other distortion which I had just found today while preparing my talk for our Christian Life Program here in Rangsit, Bangkok, Thailand. It’s about Judas Iscariot, turning him from the worst enemy number to a kind of a hero. The argument was based on the said lost Gospel – the Gospel of Judas Iscariot.

The neutral author had presented all the facts on both sides and then provided the recommendations from many scholars that the Old Testament has brought nothing, except violence to the whole world. So, the said scholars recommended with a new Gospel that will include the Judas’s Gospel and eliminate those that are used as the basis of all those literal interpretations that brought lots of violence in the whole world. Their concern is where to start and where to end.

However, the said neutral author had concluded that coming up with another Gospel version or changing the content of the Holy Books won’t solve the problem. His recommendation is to change our self individually.

Reading all the facts that were presented, my conclusion is that knowing new things – in regards to the said distortions – without knowing extensively the old ones, tends to convince the readers that the said discovered facts, especially the facts about Judas’s Lost Gospel is really has the elements of truths about Jesus and Judas closed relationships.
