I am very happy today, looking around searching for a new mobile phone to replace my 7- year old Nokia brand. After more than an hour roaming around several mobile phone business shops at MBK – a very popular shopping center in Bangkok - finally I was able to find one and decide to buy the same Nokia brand (Nokia N96) at a very affordable price.
There are lots of good things about my new mobile phones: it’s a touch screen, any key could be pressed when answering any call, it’s more beautiful than the older one, and it’s really very presentable. However, after few hours of exploring it for more of its capabilities, I had noticed that there are some disadvantages: not easy when sending text due to small text to be pressed on its screen, unfamiliarity of the many functions gives me hard times doing the basic thing that I usually do with my old cell phone.
So, the lesson I had learnt today is that, life could be easier, simpler or complicated, and we have a choice which of it we want. The result would depend on our decision. Since today I had decided to change my old cell phone, then, I had to deal with all those difficulties and adjustments hoping that once day, I will fell comfortable with it.
It’s just like after knowing that Christ was crucified for our sins to save us, I need to have my old self to be crucified: all my weaknesses and sinfulness are nailed on the cross. The old is gone and the new has come.
